The following statements were made by SISCOG customers, in result of their experience with our systems.

NS (Dutch Railways)

"The project was concluded at our entire satisfaction with all details and budget foreseen. Also the Service Level Agreement is good. SISCOG is always willing to help, finding the right solutions. In case of problems, SISCOG solves them always with a very fast response. The knowledge about personnel planning for our railway company is on a very high level.”

H.J. van Straaten, Functional Manager CREWS, NS Reizigers

“The system is used in production since 1998. […] SISCOG has proven to be a reliable partner in the development and maintenance […] The system can adapt to changes in the environment very quickly and cost-efficient. Deliveries of new versions are on time and of good quality. […] The end users (planners) really appreciate the system. We reduced the number of planners significantly. Next to that we were able to save millions of Euros by making more efficient schedules.”

Wim Fabries, Head of Logistics Department, NS Reizigers

"First of all I would like to thank you for your efforts on the delivery of the spring release. We are very content with the flexibility of CREWS regarding adapting to the new rules. I think that this is a perfect example of the benefits of using rules to customise the behaviour of an expert system."

Erwin J. W. Abbink, NS-Verkeersleiding

NSB (Norwegian State Railways)

“[CREWS] forced an uniform way of performing the planning process [and to] a common interpretation and understanding of the different rules and regulations.”

Jan Oskar Kalland, System Administrator, NSB

“SISCOG is a pleasant and reliable software company and we have been using software from SISCOG since 1998. We find the software functionality matches closely to our business process requirements and has proved useful since the software has been in production use.”

Jan Harald Dammen, IT Manager, NSB

"CREWS was used to create guards duties and rosters for all local trains in Oslo and Trondheim. No other method was used. Thus, here the system was in full production. Approximately 2.500 duties were created over a period of two weeks by one planner assisted by Kjell Asgeir Moum from the TPO project. These duties were subsequently placed in rosters"
Rolf Haugen, Project Manager TPO, NSB

DSB S-tog (Copenhagen Suburban Trains, a Danish State Railways company)

“SISCOG staff has always been committed and, when necessary, delivered efforts beyond what can be expected, and the cooperation between SISCOG team and S-tog’s project team is fully satisfactory.”

Stig Nilsson, Project Manager, S-tog

 VR (Finnish Railways)

“We are and our users are satisfied for the features of the system. They have found new possibilities, which they were not aware of before this project and before using the system.
We are satisfied as a company that we have implemented and taken in use parts of the system. They have replaced our way of working and paper and pen. […] People are ready to do their best from both sides. They have done their job eagerly and sparing no pains.”

Raimo Siivonen, Project Manager, VR

“Easy to use, simple to learn, visual”
Kari Sorvalli, Planner, VR

WAGN-West Anglia Great Northern Railway (a UK franchise passenger train operator)

"With the assistance of CREWS we have been able to plan extra trains without any increase in Driver establishment. Had we not increased the service frequency we would have been able to achieve an annual saving of two Drivers (£60,000 per year).
We have achieved a great improvement in the accuracy of data and therefore the outputs. The project has given a far greater understanding of the diagramming rules and therefore the possibilities for change that we may achieve in future discussions with trade unions. It has enabled us to fully document all the rules and constraints previously stored only in peoples memories and lost when they leave. CREWS is giving us better statistical information so that we may answer questions like how productive are our drivers. I firmly believe that SISCOG have the right approach to solving our planning problems with the correct balance of user decision and computer programme assistance.
The use of graphics helps the user see the bigger picture, which may otherwise be missed when the information is presented as a text. We need to remind the senior management that the place to invest is in planning so that we may achieve better performance throughout the company."

Chris Deal, Project Manager, WAGN
