SISCOG will participate in INOC 2017, the international conference about network optimisation organised by the European Network Optimization Group.
Taking place from February 26-28 at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, the event will have the participation of Carlos Iglésias, one of SISCOG’s specialists in optimisation. He will present, in the morning of February 27th, an abstract under the session “Transportation Networks”, addressing the scheduling optimisation issue of service lines, an important step in the process of generating the commercial offer by the passenger rail operators. He is also chairman of the session.
INOC (International Network Optimisation Conference), in its 8th edition, aims at providing researchers from different areas of Operations Research with the opportunity to present and discuss their results and research on the field of Network Optimisation, in an inspiring and bridge building environment where ideas may flow freely and generate knowledge. Attendees from all around the world are expected in one of the most relevant events in the area.
“This is an excellent opportunity to share our know-how in the field of optimisation, and to absorb new ideas and methods that may add value to SISCOG’s products and services”, says Carlos Iglésias. For the first time in the event, SISCOG´s specialist is co-author of the abstract entitled “A genetic-algorithm for the line planning problem in a railway context”.
